Retention of diphenyl on competitors' C4 columns greatly decreases as time passes due to detachment of butyl groups from the packing material under acid hydrolysis. Retention of diphenyl on YMC-Pack PROTEIN-RP is shown to be stable even after 500 hours of mobile phase flow.
